Your Initial Enrollment Period (IEP) is a 7-month window that begins 3 months before you turn 65 and ends 3 months after. If your birthday is on the 1st of the month, your entire IEP shifts one month earlier.

⚠️ Late Enrollment Penalties

If you don't enroll during your IEP and don't have creditable coverage, you may face permanent late enrollment penalties. Part B penalties are 10% for each 12-month period you were eligible but didn't enroll.
